No Country for Old Men Being born and raised in Las Vegas, I'm happy to see that an Oscar winner was filmed in my home town. I just recently saw No Country for Old Men, and although I haven't visited home in awhile, I recognized most of the locations in the movie and did get some scenes that only someone from there would understand. Its great to see LV getting a place on the map, and I certainly help spread the awareness of my home town in all my travels. What were the festivities like on its release? The last movie I can remember was red dawn when I was there.

Re: No Country for Old Men I was very disappointed that in the special features there was absolutely no mention of Las Vegas nor of anywhere in New Mexico. They said it was filmed in West Texas. Cohen Bros lied about most of the details about Fargo too, just to get the ratings up. Sad
We know where it was filmed Brian

Re: No Country for Old Men Thats interesting, I certainly did my part to spread that it was filmed in Las Vegas in the LA area. They were actually playing some music from the cohen brothers at my work when I let them know it was filmed in NM from another film from NM - Natural Born Killers. (Waiting for the Miracle).
